Line 9" pie pan with pastry; fill with prepared mincemeat; cover with top crust. Bake in 450 degrees F. oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F. and bake for a further 25 to 30 minutes.
Note: If less rich mincemeat is desired, use 2 cups mincemeat and 1 cup finely peeled, cored, and chopped tart apples. I always make my mincemeat pies this way.
