Fresh Apple Pie

Oven Temperature:
450 degrees F. for 15 minutes
350 degrees F. for 30 minutes

Line pie pan with pastry; moisten edge with milk or water. Mix together flour and sugar. Sprinkle 1/4 of the mixture on uncooked bottom crust. Add apples, peeled, cored, and sliced 1/4 inch thick. Sprinkle with lemon juice, remaining sugar mixture, nutmeg, and cinnamon; dot with margarine or butter. Cover with top crust; bake in hot oven for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350 deg. F. and continue baking until apples are cooked. Serve slightly warm with cheese if so desired. Serves 6.
